Yes Arts Youth (YAY)

Yes Arts Youth (YAY) is a universal substance use prevention program for young people (toddler - high school). We partner with local teaching artists to coordinate high-quality arts classes, camps, and workshops to meet the needs of families in our community and ensuring accessibility of programs for all through scholarships.

Yes Arts Youth exists to support the healthy development of our youth and provide fun, creative and nourishing alternatives to substance use and abuse. View our roster of teaching artists here.

About our approach

Yes Arts provides a robust youth prevention program known as YAY (Yes Arts Youth). YAY Program Leaders and Youth Mentors are trained on trauma-informed care, implicit bias, neurodiversity, mental health first aid, child abuse, and ACES (Adverse Childhood Experiences) risk and protective factors. YAY exists to create a safe, inclusive space for children of all ages and abilities to find strong mentors, lasting friendships and quality arts instruction to reduce the risk of falling into the cycle of addiction and to mitigate harm due to generational trauma.
