Yes Arts Youth (YAY) program

our approach…

Yes Arts provides a robust youth prevention program known as YAY (Yes Arts Youth). YAY Program Leaders and Youth Mentors are trained on trauma-informed care, implicit bias, neurodiversity, mental health first aid, child abuse, and ACES (Adverse Childhood Experiences) risk and protective factors.

YAY exists to create a safe, inclusive space for children of all ages and abilities to find strong mentors, lasting friendships and quality arts instruction to reduce the risk of falling into the cycle of addiction and to mitigate harm due to generational trauma.

Frankfort is a city that is rich in artistic and cultural assets. Yes Arts harnesses these assets in service of our young people, helping to promote their healthy development as well as the health and vibrancy of our community’s future. We are currently accepting applications from artists interested in being on our artist roster. If you are interested in leading a class or workshop in partnership with Yes Arts Youth programs, contact us at 502.219.2770 or info@yesarts.org. Before teaching within our programs, a background check is required and free professional development training and orientation is requested.
