This is a photograph of a note I received from a middle school student. As a school social worker I sometimes get cards like this. What stood out to me about this particular note is that the student thanked me for helping her even though no one asks me to do so. It is important for young people to see that there are adults who care and want to help without them having to directly ask for it. ​
