This photo was taken on April 3rd from a 2nd floor back classroom window at Second Street School at the height of the April 2025 floods to show the extreme nature of this event. This event evacuated and displaced many families (often with only the clothes on their backs) and has added to our existing issue with lack of adequate/affordable housing in Frankfort and Franklin County. However, it has also shown the overwhelming and swift positive community response to a natural disaster and the wealth of resources provided to families affected by the flood. ​
