"Siri, could you provide me a list of local providers in Frankfort and Franklin County?" ​

For a long time, there has been a lack of providers or providers taking new patients in our community. (The latest numbers are from the 2025 County Health Rankings).​

This lack of providers, especially in rural and/or underserved communities/neighborhoods, can have a negative effect on the wellbeing on youth. Without providers, youth are less likely to receive routine check-ups, vaccinations, and early screenings. In addition, a lack of mental health providers, can lead to an increased risk of untreated depression, anxiety, and trauma in youth.​

Ensuring access to health care (and providers) is a vital way to prepare our youth for a healthy future.
