​We partner with the Sheriff's Department to host a fishing derby for our KRUSH students every year. In doing so, we are trying to create positive interactions with law enforcement for these students who have experienced a severely negative experience with law enforcement in the past.​

This photo also highlights the need for more positive influences in the lives of all students in our county. It seems like pulling teeth to get people to invest time in things other than themselves, and those that do invest are the same people organization after organization. There is an old saying in church work that 80% of the work is done by 20% of the people, but I think that this statistic is outdated and that it is really 90% of the work being done by 10% of the people.
