This photo is of a teen working on a rainbow project (I am lucky because...) in an afterschool girl's group that focuses on enrichment, empowerment, self- confidence, service, and kindness. ​

I took the picture because I love to see them doing hands-on crafty activities away from their cell phones and daily adolescent concerns. Our community does an inspiring job of engaging youth in positive activities and creating opportunities... but more is always merrier.
